Peter Courtier

We are sad to announce that Peter Courtier died suddenly on 15th April 2012. Peter was a staunch member of the IMPAC Western Region Committee from its beginning and his colleagues on the committee will greatly miss his legal and general wisdom, his commitment to IMPAC’s cause and, not least, his friendship.

Peter’s funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, 27th April, at St Dunstan’s Catholic Church, Keynsham. Peter is survived by his wife, Connie, at 3 Park Close, Charlton Road, Keynsham, Bristol, BS31 2ET.

The next meeting of the National Council will be held on 15th May 2012. The next meeting of the PFCC (Pension Fund Consultative Committee) will be held on 12th September 2012.

The National AGM in 2012 is due to be held in Bristol on Tuesday, 15th May 2012, at the BAWA Club, 589 Southmead Road, Filton, Bristol, at 2.30 p.m. All IMPAC members are welcome to attend. Scottish Region Chairman, Simon Andrews, will be speaking about the importance of the Pension Fund Consultative Committee (PFCC).

RPI for December 2011

The RPI for December was 4.8%. This is the inflation figure used to calculate next year’s increase in ITL Pensions. The CPI was 4.2%.

Increases in both state and ITL Pensions come into effect in April 2012.

State pension increases are based upon the September inflation figures.

Trustee Election Results

IMPAC is pleased to announce that both Pensioner Trustees have been re-elected. Allan Russell and Robin Aspinall will continue as Directors of the ITPF Board for another 3 years.

For information the Employee Trustee, George Rigley, was also re-elected.

Western Region’s 2011 AGM was held on 11th October 2011 at the South Bristol Sports Centre (formerly the Imperial Athletic Club) in West Town Lane, Knowle. Concern was expressed that no new members are coming forward to serve on the Region’s Committee.
